Discover Enso

This amazing new discovery of mine was enough to have me bring this blog back from the dead:

Enso Launcher is designed to give you instant access to your applications and windows. With a few easily remembered keystrokes, you can launch an application, switch to a window by name, and control the state of your windows.

Click-hold caps lock and type open <command>. It understands a bunch of commands right off and you can “teach” it new ones. It has a free trial of 30 days and you can buy it for $19. Well worth it imho.

Programmers have very particular font needs. A font for programming must be monospaced, extremely readable, and must sharply distinguish between similar characters, such as capital O and zero and the number 1, capital I, and lowercase L. In addition, good programming fonts allow you to view more lines of code on screen at once.
